Felted Works

I started felting during the pandemic. For Christmas in 2020 my husband bought me a small felting kit. I knew how to knit and crochet and loved yarn, but felting was completely new to me. I found a video on how to felt a small owl, which led to a small whale, then a fairy, then Slimy from Sesame street. I was completely hooked. As an artist I spent years trying new mediums and different things that let me create the things I wanted to, and once I started felting, that was it….. I finally found something that lets me fully convey the things I want to share and create. With a pile of wool and a few small needles, I could create anything.

I recently made thirty ornaments for my first craft market, and they were really fun to do, but I am itching to start working on more sculpture work and 2d wool “paintings”. I do love felting different characters and like a challenge. The items below are either in my private collection or are available for sale.
